Even with the lights on in my apartment, the 106mm drivers give me such a clean, accurate sound that I forget I'm listening to a closed-back at all. The extra-large size really does make them effortless to drive from my laptop, which surprised me given how dense the music feels.

The closed-back design is a lifesaver for late-night tracking sessions—zero bleed into my mic, and the outside world just disappears. These 106mm planars give me an accuracy that makes EQ-ing a breeze, and the efficiency means my interface drives them without breaking a sweat.

These 106mm drivers handle fast transients without breaking a sweat, and as a closed-back they keep my takes clean even with the keyboard clacking nearby. Plugged straight into my interface and it still had plenty of headroom.
