Used these on a long flight and the closed-back isolation was almost spooky, I could barely hear the cabin announcements. The depth of the spatial imaging caught me off guard too, instruments felt like they had their own separate layers.
I’ve tried plenty of closed-backs that sound boxy, but these planar drivers really open things up — the imaging feels almost speaker-like. The seal from the closed design also blocks out my noisy kitchen fan completely, which is a huge win for late-night listening sessions.
